How To Prevent Pipeline Emergencies
Call Your Local "One-Call" Before You Dig
The states we operate our pipeline in have utility notification system or One-Call. Excavators, including homeowners, should contact their local One-Call System at least two business days before starting any excavation project. Within the two business days, if there are DPC lines which may be affected by your planned excavation, our company representative will come to the proposed excavation site, mark the location of our pipeline, and provide additional information, if needed.
One-Call notification is required by law in many states. Taking the time to call before you dig, may reduce disruption of service, accidents, injuries, and possible delay of your project.
Call our 800 Emergency Number When:
1.
You see any excavation activity in an area where you think our pipeline may exist.
2.
You discover or cause minor damage to our pipeline such as a scrape, crease, gouge, or dent to the pipe or its coating. Minor damage, even the slightest scratch, can eventually lead to a leak or break if left unrepaired.
3.
You discover our pipeline exposed in washes, ditches, streams, etc.
4.
You observe accidents or acts of nature such as floods, earthquakes, mud slides, etc. near our pipeline.
