What About Safety?




        		Safety is Dixie's number one priority. Each employee receives extensive training each year in various safety, environmental, health, operational and maintenance related activities including fire safety, first aid, vehicle safety, emergency drills, hazard communications and more.

        		We meet or exceed applicable federal and state laws about safety and environmental protection in the operation of our pipeline and terminals.

        		Every terminal has emergency equipment, which is tested regularly.

        		We work closely with local emergency officials and participate in practice drills. Smoking is not allowed within operating areas of Dixie's pipeline or terminals.

        		We watch and track the amount of product that enters and exits our terminals each day so we know how much petroleum product is in our tanks.

        		We only fill trucks that pass rigid safety and government required tightness inspections. We have and follow a written emergency plan for every terminal.

        		 We visually check our equipment daily and check with special tests regularly and often.
